My favorite? I absolutely loved Hugo. Such a sweet story and visually stunning!My least favorite? I’d have to go with Punch-Drunk Love. It was very slow-moving, and I almost didn’t make it until the end.Other thoughts: If you ever been a fan of Beyonce, I highly recommend her live performance at Roseland. It will make you fall in love with Destiny’s Child, and her new album in an instant. She is amazing! I was pleasantly surprised with The Big Year and 21 Jump Street. I was disappointed with Away We Go. I really thought I’d like it more. I knew I was going to like My Week with Marilyn, and Michelle Williams didn’t disappoint. She made a great Marilyn!

Check out the Looper teaser trailer! The Made Shop did some early idea work helping to conceptualize some of the weaponry and vehicles, and more recently we designed the main titles and all the various future phone and computer user interface animations. (Also, there’s a rumor that Kimberly, Jared, and I make subtle cameo appearances in a strip club scene :)

These are not the actual dates I watched these..I’m like a month behind :)
- The Derby Stallion (2005)
- Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009)
- The Lovely Bones (2009)
- The Lincoln Lawyer (2011)
- Snow Flower and the Secret Fan (2011)
- The Artist (2011)
- The Bodyguard (1992)
My favorite? I absolutely loved Fantastic Mr. Fox. I know an animated movie may be geared more towards children, but not so much for this movie. The characters were charming, great story line, and I loved the humor.My least favorite? The Derby Stallion. My dad wanted to rent this movie, and I ended up watching. I didn’t know Zac Efron was in it, but I was just bored and didn’t feel anything with the characters or story line.Other thoughts: Stanley Tucci was so creepy in The Lovely Bones, but so good! I wanted to watch The Lincoln Lawyer because it seemed like a different role for Matthew McConaughey and it was for the most part. I was surprised there were so many people in it. I’m not sure where I saw the trailer for Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, but I was curious from the start and was worth watching. Can you believe Hugh Jackman was in it? I went to see The Artist with my friend Leah, because she’s into stuff like that. I’ll admit it wasn’t my first choice, but I ended up enjoying it. I loved the costumes and make-up! And that’s right, I’ve never seen The Bodyguard. I could see why it was such a big deal in the 90’s. Costner is so handsome too.

My favorite? I’m going to have to say Real Steel, because it was the most fun to watch. And duh, you can’t go wrong with Hugh Jackman :)
My least favorite? I’ll have to go with In Time, because it disappointed me the most. I fell asleep at some point, but the parts I saw just didn’t convince me. It was kinda slow-moving, and there was no chemistry between Timberlake and Seyfried. It looked so good!
More thoughts:
- Am I the only one who had to turn on the captions at some parts during True Grit?
- The soundtrack for Whip It is amazing. I wants it!
- I loved and appreciated the research and work it took to write the screenplay forMidnight in Paris. It was so cool seeing some A-list stars playing some famous writers, artists, etc.
- Don’t judge me for Prom. It was alright, but I hated how over-the-top girls were getting asked to Prom. That doesn’t happen!
- I had higher hopes for Bad Teacher..but it failed. I was over Diaz playing her role in like the first 20 minutes.

[ January 15-21 ]
I’m very behind, so these are not the actual dates I watched the following movies. Again my ratings are based on how much I enjoyed the movie.
My favorite? It will have to be Super 8. It reminded me of E.T. and I’ve always loved that movie. Charming kids, creepy alien, and Spielberg = awesome movie in my book.
My least favorite? The Change-Up. I hated all the stupid baby scenes.
More thoughts:
- Water for Elephants ranked higher than most because it’s more my kind of movie. Not because of Pattison either. I liked the chemistry between him and Witherspoon, and the elephant just stole my heart. Also, Waltz was just so scary and good!
- I should say that Captain America is not my favorite among the Avengers. I thought it was weird they made him look so small. I get it was to show the drastic difference between average guy and hero, but it was just weird.
- Don’t judge me with Dolphin Tale, lol. I’m a sucker for movies with animals (except if the animals talk). I just loved the story about the dolphin.
- Best part of The Change-Up…Olivia Wilde BOOTY! :)

Die Hard (1988): Yes, I finally got around to watching this. I love old movies because it’s always cool to recognize more actors (Alan Rickman!).
Die Hard 2 (1990): Originals are always better, but I enjoyed this one almost as much. I did attempt to watch the third one, but I got bored. Maybe later.
Friends with Benefits (2011): This was way more enjoyable than the other movies that had the same storyline. Maybe it’s because this one didn’t have Ashton Kutcher, or maybe it’s because Justin freakin’ Timberlake was in it. I was surprised at the amount of naked butts, but I ain’t mad. I can’t say I enjoyed Timberlake’s acting, but it was a fun movie with hot people. Sometimes that’s all I need.
Crazy Stupid Love (2011): This star-studded movie was a stretch sometimes, but I find Steve Carrell funny and really, can Ryan Gosling get any hotter?!
Colombiana (2011): If you know me, then you know I’d watch just about anything with Latinas like Zoe Saldana. Mix that with all the bad ass stuff she does, then I’m hooked.
We Bought a Zoo (2011): I didn’t really feel any chemistry between Scarlet & Matt Damon, but otherwise I liked it. Of course my favorite part was all the animals.
POFC On Stranger Tides (2011): This movie had its’ moments, but there were some parts when I was bored or couldn’t understand the dialogue. But I did enjoy some of it.

I’m no film critic. My “ratings” are just based on how much I enjoyed the movie and if I would see it again.
5 = LOVED IT! I want to own it.
4 = I liked it, and would definitely watch again.
3 = It was okay, but probably won’t watch again.
2 = Meh. I’ve seen better movies.
1 = WASTE OF TIME.- Fright Night (2011) - 4/5

My favorite? Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I don’t think I’ve seen such an insane movie. There were several scenes that just made me cringe, and I may or may not have closed my eyes for a few seconds. Believe the hype - this movie is good!
My least favorite? The Thing.
Mission Impossible Movies: I saw the newest one before the first three, but you can really just watch them all separately. That’s the reason I gave the second one a “3”. It was pointless to have a love interest be such a vital part to the story and not have it continue.
